My mom used to say that she never forgot how when I was only 3 years old, I pointed out to her how yellow wildflowers looked so nice with the green grass. Color has always been a huge part of my life. Sure enough, I became both a hair color specialist and a painter.
I have been painting in the DC metropolitan area for over 30 years. While the majority of my paintings are done with oils, I enjoy using acrylic as well. My favorite subjects to paint are local buildings: everything from people’s homes to historic churches to contemporary landmarks. I also enjoy painting landscapes and still-lifes. I have been a member of the Maryland Art League and President of the Olney Art Association. My art has been featured in many shows in Maryland.
